Mike Padavic

Michael joined PSW as a Member in late 2011 to develop an internal architecture team.  The move was part of an initiative to bring the design of PSW’s communities and homes in house, allowing for greater efficiency and a unified vision.

After achieving a Master in Architecture from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, Michael honed his skills working for several mid-size firms in Chicago, managing a variety of projects including high-rise residential towers, high-end residential renovations, public libraries and school restoration. Michael has also worked extensively with Building Information Modeling, leveraging the many facets it has to offer.  Currently, he holds architectural licenses in both Illinois and Texas, is an active member of the American Institute of Architects, and is a LEED Accredited Professional.

Above all, Michael relies heavily on his wife, Kristen, for the design of all of PSW’s homes.  Working for several high profile design firms in Chicago, her extensive experience in forward thinking residential design includes a broad range from luxury single family homes to 400-unit condominium buildings.  After meeting at Harvard’s architecture program, the couple spent almost a decade in Chicago, eventually jumping at the chance to engrain their family in the food and music scenes of Austin.  They currently live with their twin daughters in the Brentwood neighborhood.

Ryan

Ryan Diepenbrock

While managing member of PSW, from 2001 through 2005 he also maintained the Controller and CFO positions for ITax Group, Inc., a tax consulting and software firm. Ryan been instrumental in expanding PSW from an investment and asset management company to the full service real estate development and homebuilding company it is today. Ryan has a Master’s in Accounting and Information Systems as well as a B.S. in Accountancy from Arizona State University.

Ryan and his family live in the Travis Heights neighborhood of Austin. They enjoy Zilker Park with their dog, Roma, and spending ample amounts of time exploring downtown.

When Ryan Diepenbrock and Anthony Siela started buying investment properties surrounding the campus of their alma mater, Arizona State University, in 2001, neither one of them expected to be managing the development of hundreds of homes in Texas eleven years later.

The childhood friends were effective partners because they shared a common desire to provide a superior housing product at an attainable cost to the urban consumer. With those values in mind, PSW Real Estate took on its first project, a five-unit townhome community just north of the University of Texas campus in Hyde Park. The success of that project demonstrated that there was a demand for sustainable living near the urban core, and gave Diepenbrock and Siela the nudge they needed to take the company to the next level.

In 2009, Mike Andrus and Jim Bernard joined the leadership team to help PSW raise the capital required to take on larger projects, and as the company grew, the values remained in tact. Responsibility, respect and a reflective attitude would drive company actions in serving our customers while connecting to the world at large. With this philosophy in mind, PSW began to seek out development opportunities that would not only provide much needed urban housing for Austinites, but also situations where density and modern construction would benefit the neighborhood at large, in some cases providing safer routes to schools by adding sidewalks and offering family recreation opportunities by improving neighborhood parks.

In an effort to establish a holistic design vision, while improving the efficiency of PSW’s development process, Diepenbrock and Siela turned to Michael Padavic, a fellow high school and college classmate, to join the leadership team as the Director of Architecture in 2011.  Along with his wife Kristen, who quickly established herself as PSW’s lead project designer, Michael leads an architecture team that is responsible for the design of all communities and homes, from acquisitions through construction.  With this key component in house, the number of active PSW projects quadrupled from 2011 to 2013.  Last but not least, Building Information Modeling was implemented as part of the design process, further embracing technology and taking project development to the next level.

Building on the successful growth in Austin, PSW expanded into Dallas Fort-Worth in early 2013.  Capturing on DFW’s national leading population growth, Anthony and Ryan turned to Adam Stetson to head up Operations in DFW.  Given Adam’s multi-faceted leadership background in award winning communities, Adam will lead a team responsible for all projects from feasibility through customer satisfaction.  In this new location, PSW’s team will continue our vision and value for providing sustainable communities close to desirable urban neighborhoods.

Today, PSW Real Estate is a Texas home builder and real estate developer that designs and builds urban living environments for people who care about quality and their impact on the world around them. Using a discerning eye for creating value, PSW thoughtfully produces homes and communities that naturally integrate with their surrounding neighborhoods. With a vision for how the world will be living and working in the future, PSW creates homes that offer proximity to work, school and other important resources while implementing energy efficient construction methods and materials. These key elements promote urban density and conservation, reduce waste, and engender social connectivity.

Investor Services

In 2009, it became clear that to grow the company, PSW needed a new initiative for raising capital and the Investor Services group was born. At that time, a project structure was developed in which PSW operates as the General Partner, while seeking Investors as Limited Partners to bring initial capital to the projects.

Working together with our limited partners, we create diverse investment opportunities and provide options for participation in various financial structures and product types. It is through this product diversity that PSW has attracted investors ranging from individuals to family trusts to company pension funds and everything in between. The investors take pride in the fact that we are working together to create quality communities for our customers while providing Limited Partners with consistent returns. If an investor is seeking real estate opportunities, look no further than the team at PSW.

We strive to add value in every limited partnership we manage by bringing the right development opportunity at the right time, and relaying real time information to investors from our in-house architects, general contractors and sales team members. We have brought key steps in the development process under one roof – it’s our way of ensuring that we provide the best places for our customers to live and earn the most money for our partners.

We know there is a difference between a house and a home and a difference between an investor and a partner. As employees, customers, trade partners and capital partners can attest, the PSW Family is creating an experience that extends far beyond turning over the keys or writing checks – we value relationships above all else.
